Build/Spec:
The CR-1 is made from two silver-plated (5%) LGC copper solid core AWG23 wire pairs with optimally deviating number of twists per meter to minimize signal interference and crosstalk and then wrapped in a coated aluminium foil for Lan cables as 1st shield against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI).
Then the two finished pairs are twisted together at a certain distance and receive a tin-plated braided jacket of 100% copper (2nd shielding) with a heat shrink tube on top that meets the conditions to keep the shielding optimally and permanently in place to obtain a 2nd tinned braided sheath of 100% copper (3rd shielding).
To complete the shielding, the two (2nd and 3rd sheath) are joined at both cable ends by means of copper foil, after which one end is shielded with shrink tubing for final assembly (floating shielding).
Finally, the cable gets a decorative sleeve (not functional) and is equipped with Telegärtner connectors of the threaded strain relief type, which offers more security.
NOTE: the cable is built on 100MB which is very suitable for audio, even for Hi-Res and DSD (dsf) files and results in an extremely faithful reproduction.
The cable is the result of many tests and was found to be very good after visits by several audiophiles, mainly due to the exceptional degree of shielding and choice of materials used, reason enough to offer this cable
In order to limit the price, a conscious decision has been made not to use 'fancy' parts such as brand/direction - casing/identification and luxury packaging outside the decorative stocking. There is also no or a limited stock of finished cables available
